It’s early Saturday morning! Too bad, I have to wake up now because I have a commitment to fulfill. A hazy day I suppose, with low visibility…

Damn it, I wonder will I accidentally kick on the wrong balls breathe in the haze after the excessive sport event later?

After McD breakfast, I “tumpang” my teammate’s car to the competition field, without the hassle of waiting for public transport. Yes, I just need to walk from McD to his car; then from his car to the field, that’s it!

OK, we were early when we reached there, approximately an hour before our first game. So we still had plenty of time warm-up and look-see look-see around. Something strucked my attention in the middle of some stretchings – I noticed that the crowds were moving towards the field, seems like a tight match is on its way.

Wah lau, with the “KSISM” (kiasu-ism) I had, I quickly positioned myself on a nice view spot, with camera ready in my hands. OMG, now you should see this…

Look at the orange jerseys players… Yes, they are all girls; and they call themselves IQ Spice Girls (Sorry to the goolkeeper as he’s the only guy who help out to be the GK). After losing 0-4 to in the previous match, IQ Spice Girls performed pretty well with the support from all over the field! You could hear a loud “boos ~” when there was a body contact; of course, a loud cheers when the girls got back their possessions.

So you wonder how the guys played with such pressure? Here’s a video showing how the attack was being denied (and caused the guy a booking):

Into the second half after 5 minutes of first half goalless peformance, we could even see that the guy-team’s keeper had abandoned his half-circle territory to dominate the midfield.

But, something did happen in a glimpse of time.

An IQ Spice Girls fell down after a challenge with the guy keeper! All the orange-clothed players rushed to the spot immediately and we could smell some explosive scenes soon, with the referee awarding a yellow card to the poor keeper.

Aiks, seems like everyone is enjoying the short break. After all, friendship is definitely more important than a title in a competiton.

Another 5 minutes in 2nd half with the same 0-0 result. What’s next? Yes, the sudden-death penalty shootout. A white jersey guy powered in a shot first, now… let’s see what IQ Spice Girl can do:

Aiyah, wild shot! Despite the lose, they still gain our honourable cheers ~ Eh, why haven’t written something about my journey in this competition!

And the result was, we were being eliminated without conceding any goals. Weird isn’t it? Not at all… A.C. Milo had goalless draws in both group matches; and won a penalty shootout (1-0), while losing another one (1-2). On the other hand, we also lost our chance to be the best-two runner-ups in all the 6 groups, and was being kicked out from the tournament. Anyway, I was satisfied with my performance as I scored both penalty shots in both matches. It’s a pity that opponent’s shots slip through our keeper’s palms twice in second match. After all, we were happy to be able to go back earlier because there might be a downpour soon.

This is the standing after the group match:

And, “See You” in next tournament:

And, to prove that I really felt happy to go back early since it’s raining soon… It did rain after a few minutes:

We shall strive for it again next year!
